This really isn't an attraction, but more of a landmark. You can be assured that a tuk-tuk or songtheaw driver will get you here with no trouble at all. It's a good place to access the Sunday Night Walking Street.

Good place to access the Sunday Night Walking Street market and more often than not there is some sort of local awards ceremony or cultural event going on.
The museum behind the monument has an interesting archive of historical relics that I find unique. I would recommend this place for those who are serious students of Chiang Mai's history.
Is a cool monument with lots of history, the translations on the plaques could be done better to add reverence and not humor, but otherwise it is worth wandering past as you walk the old city
Standing in front of the Chiang Mai Cultural Centre is the 3 King's Monument, in memory of King Mengai and 2 other kings who worked together to build the city. Nothing much to see, visit only if you are in the vicinity.

Again, this was right next to our hotel and we just wandered around the monument. There is not really much to see or do expect read the description at the monument and learn that these were perhaps the three most revered kings in Chiang Mai.
There is a centre for art and culture just behind and monument and that is...

For the history buff, this is a good place to visit. For people like myself, a quick stop is sufficient. It is also a good land mark in the middle of Chiang Mai.
It was one of the things to see while we were there and we included it on our self guided walking tour. A nice square with a monument that obviously means a lot to the Thai people. Take a quick snap and move on
I thought the 3 kings monument was very special. I liked the museum and how it showed how Chiang Mai has evolved from it's beginnings. I also liked how they had at the displays a choice of languages to hear the commentary of each display in English. I learnt a lot about Chiang Mai's history from here. I enjoyed this
