Oh my good! I do not understand the ranking of this place in Tripadvisor. There might only be one reason: pricing. You need a good limit on your credit card or a nice stash of cash. For BKK standards it is an expensive place. But otherwise: real haute-cuisine Thai style. Chef Nooror, the founder and Chef of the Blue Elephant, is... More

My friend asked me to try dinner at the Blue Elephant Bangkok Restaurant. In my mind Blue Elephant seems expensive and would be Thai food with flavor for "farang" (meaning white skin foreigner). The interior decoration is Thai wooden classy style. With Thai music playing in the background. Upon seeing the food and drink menu. Hmmm, the price is not... More

We undertook a morning class whilst we were on our honeymoon. The class started a little late but got underway by a trip to the market. We had thought we would be actually buying the ingredients that we needed for the cooking class but that was not the case and the class mainly focused on fruit. Back to the school... More

My wife and I signed up for this cooking class for our stay in Bangkok. We did the morning class with a trip tot he market. The trip was fine, but it could have been better. We focused on some things, including fruits, that weren't really part of the actual cooking that we did. More of a focus on selecting... More

I loved it, it was a lot of fun and I would recommend it. A few things to note that would have helped me enjoy the experience. The market was interesting, but hard to hear at times. Sunday was full of people like me...in Bangkok on business with one free day. 1. We were told to be there at 8:30... More

I just to remind for people who wants to learn Thai cooking, one does not have to be in this type of cooking school furthermore the image of them self being in a big mansion which converted to a restaurant and cooking school. You are only paying so much to learn cooking in this school merely because of it's high -end style... My daughter booked me on the course whilst I was visiting Bangkok and what an experience. Suggest you book a course in the morning as you get a visit to a local market included, taken by one of the chefs and certainly saw the true Thai market - not for the squeamish. Was greeted with a cool refreshing glass of... More

My friend and I took their cooking class and we made 4 meals. The only negative I have is that the instructions given while demo-ing the meals were different from the printed recipes. It'll be interesting to see if I can replicate them from my notes. Otherwise, this was a great experience. You get to tour the market, get some... More

The school run courses from half a day to whole days and the menu you will cook varies each day so try and organise this in advance (I did the day before). The morning class includes a trip to the market but the afternoon class doesn't. There were 4 of us which made the experience much better. Good instructions and... More
