Many Stalls selling food and clothing, shoes, bags and that type of thing. Very busy place but easy to find your way around. Most stalls sell the same items but you weren't harassed into buying things. I was taken to the markets and fed, toured and shown so many things! Having a local to point out the best food to try and the stalls and shops offering best value was a huge benefit. If I'd come alone, or with non-locals, I'd have been terribly lost.

Even in the rain, Shihlin Night market is not to be missed. We shared our evening at the night market with what felt like half of Taipei and it made it a wonderful experience. Seeing the cultures in food and in the games that people were playing was really interesting. There was lots of shopping and many people who were just wandering it seemed. Good people watching! Must see in Taipei.

Huge variety of street foods and cheap clothing and items. Great place for a late evening snack. I love the dumplings and milk tea (bubble tea). The Taiwan hot dogs/sausages are also great.
