We went on weekday night and it is almost deserted. Nothing much except the building looks nice when lit at night. Some information is in Mandarin and I don't read, while the interactive displays are not working.

We were previleged to catch a glimpse during our evening walk. Fols were seated and there was a play. Intersting
It is not a grand building but worths a short visit to learn about the history of Taiwan especially the fight between Dutch occupiers and locals in the 17th century. The garden area around the tower is small and there are just a few exhibits within the tower.
Part of the Lonely Planet walking tour, I have been here many times. The grounds are beautiful and the buildings are well maintained. Its a great place to visit day or night. In the evenings, there is a musical performance.
The Chihkan Tower is a nice place to visit. Centrally located. It's worth the 50 TND to get in. You get a view of the old Tainan and about the fights between the locals and the Dutch invaders in the 17th century.
Not sure what is great about this place. It's just a tower, one monument and a few trees. Yes, in this city there aren't any trees on the streets so I guess that makes this place no. 1 to visit in Tainan. I am not sure. The video that explains current economy of Tainan has got nothing to do with...

You can enjoy several Tainan specials here at one time. 3 styles of buildings here(Holland, Chin-Dynasty China, and Japan) all together make the place most popular. And there are many good places to eat, for instance, the traditional market"Xi-Jing-Jio", and many other good food stands neraby. Of course you can get a collection of all the famous Tainan dishes in...

This is in the city and rumour has it that it used to have a tunnel running from here to Anping Fort. A romantic view, but don't think it was reality. It's one of the old parts of town and gives you aview of how the city was originally, although there's little of the original structure left.
Loved all of it. WE spent quite a bit of time here just relaxing and taking it all in. There was a very interesting video that we watched and it showed that Tainan is the hub of technology.
Worth seeing but nothing spectacular. Grounds well maintained. Expect lots of tour groups, foreign & domestic.
