After trying to be redirected to the tanneries or 'big square' we found some signs and followed them to the Maison de la Photographie. Beautiful gem of a museum. Fantastic photos of turn of the century morocco. All photos available for purchase - they didn't have what I wanted in the right size so had it printed up and brought... More

Beautiful photos and a great place to have a quick bite to eat and enjoy the 360 view of Marrakech. You can keep your entrance card to comeback whenever you want!

Having been way laid in true Marrakech style by a ' friendly' local taking us on a detour to the Tannery, we arrived into the calm of the Maison de la Photographie. What a delight an oasis, a wonderful collection of historic photographs of anthropologically important record of life in Morocco.

The top roof of this museum is a must to attend! You will not have a view like that over the city, and it is very relaxing to chill there with a cup of tea after all the madness in the town :)

What a gorgeous photography musuem in the Medina. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Marrakech. Be sure to visit the terrace for some beautiful views. I only wish the museum was larger, because the photographs were fascinating!

Totally worth the visit, loved the prints and post-cards as an memorable souvenir! Nice break from the hectic souks and markets and nice cafe on the terrace that overlooks the city!

We visit this museum every time we are in Marrakech. The exhibits change and are always fascinating. The old photos are so evocative that we never tire of seeing them and there are great reproductions that you can buy.

When we went we were told that our tickets were valid for as many return visits as we liked during our holiday, which was a nice touch. Make sure to have a cup of mint tea on the rooftop terrace.

An excellent collection of photos and history of Morrocco. This Riad not only the highest terrace in Marrakesh (which serves light refreshments overlooking the atlas mountains!) BUT also gives a varied and unique view of Morrocan history through photography. A very low admission fee gives you access to a good couple of hours of bliss (away from the busy Marrakesh... More
