CadetTraveler. The recent crime was the first one at the Riverwalk in over 16 months. I don't think it's fair to tell me to stay away at night, because of one criminal incident. I live in Augusta, and the Riverwalk is very safe. The people attending the Candlelight Jazz event on Sunday nights don't have any problems.

This is a beautiful place to take a relaxing walk in downtown Augusta. Part of the area is historical and there are several great local restaurants to dine at nearby. This is a great site for pictures, too.

Many of the plants were in bloom, so it was a very nice experience and stroll along the Savannah River.

Very nice walk. Well kept and very close to the river. Has a playground area for children and restaurants close.

Beautiful esplanade along Savannah River. Great place for a run or walk or to sit and enjoy the river.
