We chose to pay $40 for a private boat to take us to Water Cay. There are many signs in Utila advertising this trip to shop around for the best price. Water Cay was beautiful and was one of the highlights for me whilst at Utila. The sand is pure white and the sea pure blue. We took snorkels but... More

If you visit Utila, the Cayes are perfect for relaxing, while Utila town is where you want to be to party hardy and live it up. There's not much to do on the Cayes...the top activities there are beach combing, swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, laying in a hammock with a book, snorkeling, and self-reflection. There's a small, close-knit fishing... More

Excellent snorkeling on west end, enter water via sandbar then penetrate the wall about 400 feet offshore and go out just a bit to a great reef. Look out for tide change currents though!

Stunning and utterly relaxing! Take your snorkel and enjoy! I met some lovely people on Utila who were more than happy to boat around the cayes! These islands are the most beautiful of islands... really spectacular :) Utila has a very special place in my heart :)

The bluest water you have ever seen ! Great way to spend the day, snorkeling around the island. Ask around for prices to run you out to the lsland ! You shouldn't pay more than 50.00 U.S. for the boat (return) if they try to charge you per head move on find someone else to take you out. Keep an out... More

My family and I just spent 2 weeks on a small island off Utila and it was wonderful. Very remote, the locals are friendly and helpful. The diving and snorkeling is amazing. Pigeon Cay (a local fishing Cay with perhaps 500 people living on it) is very interesting and quaint. Try the Fish Burgers there! Water Cay is sort of... More

We had Captain Jim take us to Water Cay- It was a fun day although the snorkeling was a little disappointing. The important thing to remember is to go in on the front side of the island and swim around to the back where the reef is. As we swam around into the reef, it was interesting, but there seemed... Beautiful beach, warm water, and a lot of space to stay and relax. perfect spot. You can do snorkel on the back of the island, hang a hammock and relax, bring your own food and drinks and keep the trash out the island.

Water Cay - snorkeling was nothing new but just fun to be where no one else is - Pigeon Cay - interesting how the people live on the island.

Mr Hermas Cayview restaurant and Miss Lorettas Fishburger. I love the quiet and freindly people on this little cay. There is so much history here. Utopia Village provides a sunset boat trip over and guided tour that is really nice and a complimentary dinner is included. I would highly recommend this.
