Nice out of the way place near Aspen. Neighborhood bar & restaurant. Food is very average. Only claim to fame is that Hunter S. Thompson used to hang out there. More

We rode our bicycles (free for guests staying at Sky Hotel) from the town of Aspen to Woody Creek Tavern via the Woody Creek/Spruce Creek Trail. It was about a 12 mile easy down hill bicycle ride along a beautiful scenic trail. At the end of the trail, we stopped and had margaritas and appetizers at Woody Creek Tavern. The... More
