A great little museum with a variety of focuses, the Catalina Island Museum is the place to go for Cubs baseball history and Catalina Island history. The museum has a nice display of Catalina pottery.

The movie is a clever overview of the history of the island; there's an emphasis on the celebrities who were regulars. We enjoyed the movie and exhibits. It doesn't take a lot of time to take it all in.

Applaud their interest in the history of the city & island. Excessive focus on a 'guack' anthropologist that seems to have destroyed far more than he preserved.

Located next door to the Theater. VIdeos, photos, artifacts, interesting. It is small but full of information, you will discover that Marilyn Monroe lived on this island with first husband who was stationed there....

Unchanged for almost 50 years, this cute little museum has undergone a complete renovation and it's now a breath of fresh air. It's five bucks and a half-hour, both of which are very well spent. The museum gives you plenty of artifacts, enough narrative to be informative, a nice intro movie, and an interesting (if under-stocked) gift shop. The casino... More

This is a small museum with plans for a larger place in 2014. A lot to see here. Nice gift shop. People who work here know all about, quick and informative answers to all my question. I shall return!

Given the history of the island it is a lot smaller than I would have liked. I enjoyed it but was expecting much more.
