Our last morning in DC, with a little over an hour to "kill", we wandered a few blocks away from our B&B to visit this museum. Really, really surprised by many of the things we learned (I wish American History had been this interesting in HS!) and the collection of personal memorabilia was really impressive. Our guide knew we were... More

We have walked past the Woodrow Wilson House in Dupont numerous times and decided to investigate on a quiet afternoon. The house is mostly filled with original furniture and memorabilia. Tour groups are small and intimate with well informed tour guides who are most personable and relate personal stories of what the Wilsons' lives were like in returning to the... More

For a history buff like myself, this was an interesting visit to gain some insight into President Wilson's last years. The house itself is nicely preserved and has lots of historical artifacts from Wilson's presidency and the guides do an excellent job of presenting it all. Others have mentioned that this is like an early '20s time capsule, and it... More

This was a wonderful place to visit! Kudos to the ladies who are the tour givers. Mary Kay took us around. She took her time, answered all questions. What a tribute to Mrs. Wilson who just gave the whole place over lock stock and barrel when she died. A real nice glimpse into life of the 1920s with original everything.... More

With so many free museums in DC, it can sometimes make you feel a little reluctant to shell out money for a museum that does charge admission. If you're only going to pay to seen 1 or 2 museums, make the Woodrow Wilson House one of them! You don't have to be an expert on our 28th president to enjoy... More

This is the only Presidents house open in Washington and for $10 you can have a tour of the house and hear about the birth of the League of Nations. This s a really intimate small house and well worth a visit.

We visited the Woodrow Wilson House this past weekend. It is located near the embassy section of D.C. on a beautiful street. This was among the best historical homes we have ever visited. Pres. Wilson lived here the last three years of his life, until 1924, and his widow lived here until her death in 1961. Upon her death, the... More

My mother, a serious history buff, and I stopped by for a tour of the Wilson House on S Street and it was a highlight of our long weekend in DC. I feel that many historical homes are too "staged" and a level of authenticity is lost. The Wilson House feels like Woodrow and Edith have just stepped out for... More
