Very good view on Vilnius, but you get a good one also from Gediminas Tower, and the road to three crosses is steep and longer
this is a trip for people who likes phenomena. The Hills of crosses is really a small hill where people on a pilgrimage leaves small, medium, large crosses to plant on the hill or surrounding the hill. There are countless crosses and you can buy some at the entrance.
Looks nice from far or from the opposite hill with the tower on top. But actually going to the hill of three crosses, there isn't much there to do. The view from there is nice, but so is the view from the opposite hill where you get to visit the tower itself and the museum housed in it.
It really is a must do when you visit Vilnius. The view is excellent and the place is magic. Make sure your taxi waits or be ready to walk a bit!
The three crosses are exactly. Three large white crosses on a hill. Beautiful view of Vilnius covered in snow and the river part frozen....
