As other reviews have mentioned, this museum houses a surprising collection of artefacts and is definitely worth a visit. If you only have time for one museum, I'd take a few hours to explore the history of the city here.

Entering this museum many probably will have fairly low expectations, if for no other reason than the fact that the town hall building appears small from the outside. Once in, this may appear to be confirmed by the first exhibits, which are to me fairly uninteresting bits of Bratislava collected by local fans of the antique. But as you go...

We really just bobbed in here because it was starting to drizzle and the entrance fee was cheap. But what a wonderful surprise! It is nice to walk through any time in the year, it is always beautiful. In Xmas time thre is a market around and the atmosphere is great :)

It is worth the trip up the tower. There is a great view. The museum in the old tower hall is well curated and has some wonderful pieces.

This is a beautiful building. The roof is quite interesting, as well as the doors. It's nice to have a local guide to give historical information.
