This castle is being rediscovered by historians, archaeologists and so on with funding from the European Union. Parts of it are open to the public and there is a good museum. Its an interesting place to go and to imagine what life was life a long time ago.

Try to visit Sarvar in July during the festival period great medieval food, costumes and kids entertainment with horse shows.

You have to visit the museum, aewsome. We found it interesting and a lady saw this and offered us to climb the tower (officially not allowed to visit).

Gives you a great knowledge about the history of Sarvar and about the activity of the previous owner, Albrecht, the Duke of Bavaria as well as about the Hussars of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchie and Hungary.
