I visited Lake Balaton last summer. It was a short trip but it fell deeply into my memory. The place is beautiful, especially at the sunset. People here are friendly and helpful and nearby villages are the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. You feel here like in a dream. It's very romantic place also, a long evening walk around... More

A day trip to lake Balatan is a must if you are in Hungary. It's a 2 hour drive and most tour operators will include a lunch at a village restaurant with freshly prepared fish with a glass of wine. You can walk about the lake and then at the most beautiful village with fairyland sort of cute cottages. The... More

You can indulge in leisurely rejuvenation and relaxation, sail across the... More

You should visit the largest lake in Central Europe, called by locals the "Hungarian Sea". It is a short and pleasant drive from Budapest, and it's surrounded by restaurants, wineries, and resorts.

Barátlakások...it is not very easy to translate this Hungarian word in terms of its real significance. Barát means friend. Lakás means house, home, or maybe better, the place where you currently stay and live. Therefore, Barátlakások could be something like "houses of friends". Actually, Barátlakások defines a group of caves arranged by hermits to be their home almost thousand years... More

At the end what reall blew my mind off is that they charged 2250 HUF for a jug of homemade syrup drink. At that point Istood... More
