This is not for the faint of heart, it's steep. It takes a while to climb especially in hot weather. I think it's worth it, the views are great. Our first evening in town and after a great meal, we wandered across to Buda and did the climb. I was out of shape and couldn't keep up with my friends' pace but finally made it to the top to enjoy the lights of both sides of the Danube. A must for anyone visiting this beautiful city. More

A steep climb to the top but can be accessed by 'hop on hop off' buses. Lots of litter and bins full of rubbish around. Spoils the effect. The local council needs to keep this major tourist attraction clean and attractive. Nice restaurant at top - fresh pizzas etc. Reasonably priced More
