Stunning views from Castle Hill over all of Budapest. We headed up to castle hill in the afternoon and stayed for dinner in the area. You must check out the view after dark when the light come on and add another beautiful aspect to the area.

It's full of stuff to see and you won't get bored at all up there, I think I spent 3-4 hours and this without entering the main tourists attractions. Also the view from there is absolutely amazing...

The Castle Hill area was spectacular; from the Palace to the Cathedral to the Fisherman's Bastion, all were beautiful. We spent several hours on two afternoons visiting the area. The views of Budapest from the Fishermans Bastion are a must see on any visit. Also a ride up or down on the Funicular should be included in your visit.

There is a Budapest history museum and Hungarian art museum which contained some very well put together displays. My suggestion is to visit it in the morning during the summer as it is cooler, there are some nice food outlets and many attractive souvenir shops offering some traditional crafts.
