We did the Market Tour Option as well as the actual cooking class and I would highly recommend both. The Market was really interesting - really helps you to understand aspects of Hungarian food culture that we would never have thought to ask. The actual cooking class was brilliant - our chef clearly knew her stuff and we had really... More

I loved doing the Market Hall tour and cooking class with Marta! We had a blast and every little thing was taken care of. Marta ensured that we saw all parts of the market hall, learned a lot about Hungarian culinary culture and didn't burn any food! All of the dishes we created were delicious! I made sure to buy... My partner and I went to Hungary, and the thing we were most interested in doing was eating delicious Hungarian food. Market Tour was the best decision we made. We went to the wonderful market: Grand Market. It was so neat to see all the native Hungarians are going about their day-to-day lives... Lilla, our guide had all kinds of... More

Thank you to Lilla and Bernadett at Chefparade in Budapest for a great introduction to cooking Hungarian food. The class is informative, fun and tasty. I made sour cherry soup, chicken paprikash and Hungarian crepes/pancakes. All very delicious and after cooking with Lilla, it's not intimidating at all. It's given me a greater appreciation for the use of paprika (I... More

This is a brilliant way to find out more about the city and its traditions. Visiting the market, choosing your breakfast and having your own personal chef to guide you through the food stalls, was fantastic. Then being shown how to cook a traditional Hungarian meal, with lots of hints, tips and anecdotes. It tasted really good and since coming... More

We took a cooking class with Bernadette. She started us out at the amazing covered market and gave us all the history. A perfect way to start our Budapest trip. She was funny, kind and patient and the food we cooked was truly delicious. Highly recommended! More

My visit to Chefparade Cooking School was a delighful day! One thing I would do differently, is to take the morning market trip WITH the breakfast. Our group skipped the breakfast and the second we walked into the market I regretted it. The market is just wonderful and Ibolya, our chef, is familiar with the vendors and their goods! The... More

We booked this cooking class for a group of college students and it was a fantastic experience! The place has a great setup, with everything from cooking stations to a coffee shop to a bar (with a grill area outside for nicer weather). The staff was incredible - fun, helpful, and encouraging. The group was split up into different teams... More

My wife booked this as a tour through expedia and at first I was a little hesitant. I really didn't want to travel all the way to Budapest to take a cooking class. I'm glad we did though. We took a taxi from our hotel to the address listed on google. When we showed up, the owner didn't seem as... More

I had a very good experience at the Chefparade Cooking School. I was visiting Budapest on my own for the weekend. I like to get the most out of my experience...joining in on a local cooking school definitely helped to do that. I booked the cooking class just a few days before I was scheduled to arrive in Budapest. I... More
