Nothing much sets this apart from other brewery tours, although it was fun trying out the different beers at the end of the tour.
Big disappointment. We have been to the Heineken visitor centre in Amsterdam and it was amazing. The Starorpamen one is a poor copy and is nowhere near as good. Much more to see in Prague than this and better pubs to experience the beer. I hate giving bad reviews but felt the need to warn others that this is not... More
We went for a visit to this brewery as it is the second largest in Prague and I thought it would save us a trip to Pilsen. The tour was unguided, with audio visual presentations which I liked, however the tour was definitely short. The 'tastings' that are included in the tour is one glass of one of 4 beers... More
Prague can have too many regular tourist attractions and I was pleased to go to something different. I thought the story and presentation media were very good. I have a little knowledge of brewing on a commercial scale and the process here was made easy to understand. Tour length at about 50 minutes was about right and the staff in... More
We are beer lovers, so of course we had to visit the Staropramen Brewery. It was a short tour which was the only downside, but it was informative and interesting to learn about the history and brewing. The tasting room was modern, the staff friendly, and the beer was absolutely delicious.
Entertaining and funny, but short and uninformative. Tells you nothing much about brewing and is all prerecorded, so you can't ask any questions. Tasting of one beer only and you pay the most expensive price in Prague to get any more. The bar staff were exceptionally rude to us.
We were really excited about the brewery tour, having heard good things about it, and from looking at the website it led us believe there would be 'tastings'. After arriving, a brusque lady told us it would be an automated tour, and we'd get a free beer at the end. The tour was pretty much a joke with some audio... More
This was an interesting brewery tour. Good presentation of history and the process and good beer at the end.
This was an automated guided brewery tour which ended with your choice of four beers. The lady on the front desk was very helpful changing the tour from Russian to English for us. Informative even for someone that doesn't like beer.
The tour introduces you to the brewing process and is based on a multimedia show that is supposed to activate all the senses at some point. Very interesting background information and there is a free beer included. At the end there is a bar where they serve the beer which is really nice and the bartenders are cool. Yet another... More
