I attended a ballet performance Popelka and found it marvellous. The national theater is an amazing building and really worthy to see.

Good value in the Gods with the youth of Prague. We booked the day before and loved being close to the painted ceiling!
Just amazing performance of contemporary dance. Superb! Will go back on our next trip to Prague. Very inexpensive too.
We've been here several times. It's a beautiful baroque building which is currently undergoing restoration. The performances are most often exceptional but very occasionally not so good. You don't always get the best view from the boxes either, I would say the ones furthest back from the stage are best. Dress up, most do & the venue certainly deserves it....

We went to see Rusalka at the National Theater in Prague. The theater is spectacular, full of old world charm and very intimate. This three act opera was exquisite. We booked seats in a private box seating just the two of us. The tickets were bought online and was delivered to us at the front entrance on the night of the show as promised. The venue was quite beautiful and the opera performance even better. Recommended.
We seem to have been at the last performance of the current run of Martinu's Miracles of Mary. It was outstanding. Such an all-round great evening at the opera is a rarity, but this was one in a hundred. The theatre itself is a marvel: right size (the parterre has only 13 rows and the acoustics are excellent); the orchestra,...

I didn't see an event at the National theatre but the best views are from the other side of the river rather than from the side where the theatre is.
