For us this is our favourite area of Prague. Wander around this area and take in the beautiful buildings and gardens. As you get nearer the castle district it can be a good workout with the hills but a must visit is the Vrtbovska gardens, a paradise, a hidden gem that one must discover.

Don't miss the Lenon Wall as well as the rive side, the pointed building with the line of the flad in 2002. You can enjoy it by doing Segway.

I just wandered around without an itinerary and found lots of wonderful sights. This is a great place to get lost!

The crowds here are sometimes very dense, but the people are so friendly, it doesn't matter, locals and tourists blend here amongst the architectural history of a great site seeing City.

Really enjoyed crossing the Charles Bridge and walking around Mala Strana. There are lots of great small cafe's and places to grab a beer along the river. If you venture in further, you can find lots of cool shops, churches, and parks.

The old town is famous for the astronomical clock, but the lesser quarter is a little less commercialized and more authentic. It's a great place to eat without being in huge crowds.

We went there during the evening looking for a nice bar/lounge for a night cap and had heard this was a very romantic area. But we found most of the places to be almost empty or closed on a friday night, which we found very surprising. We also saw a number of tourists with maps apparently trying the same thing... More

Much quieter than the Old Town but still plenty to see and do.Small artizan shops to browse through. Nice River side bars and cafes to sit and watch the world go by

We stayed in both old town and mala strana and we preferred the quiet of the mala strana. It was less crowded with people and seemed like a more upscale neighborhood to stay. It was also very convenient to just cross the Charles Bridge and have easy walking access to all the attractions, restaurants and shopping in old town Prague.... More
