This is a shop with really beautiful things, especially the glass. The Mala Strana shop is hidden away just under the Charles Bridge. But this is not tourist junk.

Artel is an absolute "not-to-be-missed" jewel in the heart of the historic district. The store is small, but has a wide selection of breathtaking, impressively hand-crafted, high quality glass. the stuff is really beautiful and very unique. more funky modern styles of bohemian crystal, much better than what you find in most places. definitely one of the best in town. the styles are mainly geometric/deco, or heavily floral. my one complaint was the shop assistant was a little bit like the ladies in pretty woman who don't want julia... It's by no means cheap, but it is THE place for premium Czech Art Glass, masterfully designed and made. Gorgeous, unusual, non-typical jewellery, too. Service s friendly, and helpful, and there are clever witty gifts available at a wide range of price points. My favourite shop in Prague.

This was by far the best glass shop we saw in Prague. You are bound to be tempted by the retro deigns and workmanship.
