No bookings necessary for this trip, but if you go to Kangaroo Island it is a must do! Really well organised and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The one we had was very conscious of the well being of the animals, but subsequent groups were less supervised and the safety of the seals was compromised. Very reasonably priced and... More

We received a very informative talk prior to approaching the beach. Although the weather was poor the seals put on a great show, surfing, feeding, resting, climbing our staircase. Don the guide was one of the best and has a real passion for his work.

Although we weren't able to get up too close, we did get to see a large number of seals playing and sleeping. and the coastline views were fantastic.

They are cute and worth the price, but don't expect them to perform any circus acts. Most of the time, they are sleeping. Pricey like the penguin center, but the money makes the seals happy.

We chose the guided tour ($32 per adult) which included the $15 fee for the broadwalk unguided stroll. The 45 minute guided tour was definitely worth it. Our guide Naomi was enthusiastic and took us down to the beach where she told us all about seals, sea lions, their characteristics and why the conservation park was so important to the... More

We made a late afternoon visit to this park, wandering with our guide down the boardwalk past a mother sea-lion suckling its pup at the side of the path. Then through the gate onto the beach to walk close to the resting sea-lions, watching them swim, approach each other, chase others away etc etc. great experience. The visitor centre has... More

There are two options when you arrive at Seal bay you can take a stroll on the board walk which takes you down to the beach and gives you a good view of the seals and their habitat. The other option is to take a guided walk onto the beach, this is amazing. You get to walk amongst the Australian... More

We were initially tempted to do the cheaper boardwalk self tour, but was glad we decided on the more expensive beach tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, although we visited in the April school holidays, there were only 4 people on our tour so we got to ask lots of questions. The guide said there are seals on that beach... More

A fantastic experience to get very close to wild sea lions. It's unmissable! One note though - pay the extra and do the guided tour. (You can call the day before to find out the next day's tour times). The alternative is to walk on the boardwalk which only gets close to the beach at one point, which may or... More

I questioned why my husband and I paid money to do this. if you don't take the formal tour, you still pay to walk down the boardwalk and look at the sea lions. really boring actually. If you have never seen them outside a zoo this may be interesting, but we have been in the Galapagos where you can get... More
