i must say that its a tough and challenging walk, specially on the humid day. You can walk down just right next to the water edges. There are many jogging tacks as well. I must admit that its like walking in the Paradise.
wonderful walk to do in the mornings...it is not a hard walk and you can get to know the area so well
You can walk into town right along the waters edge and it is a friendly stoll with many others jogging or working out on the various exercise machines along the walkway.
Make sure you hydrate before (no alcohol the night before) and during this walk. If you are relatively healthy the heat and humidity is a challenge you should take. DO not try this if you are unhealthy, if you are not sure get medical advice first. The walk is not too hard, but weather can make it harder.
This is a fantastic free way to see what the coast is like along Airlie Beach. I don't reccommend it for hot summer days because you can get easily sunburnt.
It's a lovely walk but not for people with back injuries etc....a long and painful one but I did it,dragging my knuckels behind me.The birdlife is nice and if you stop and listen there's all sorts of critters out there.
The council should be commended for keeping this so well maintained. The views are magnificant, it was picture postcard.
We didn't do the whole walk but we walked some of the way from Airlie Beach. Very challenging and most of it was up hill. Good for the seasoned walker.
Fantastic walk, soon to open up to mountain bikes, although l know many who already use it. Safe, well maintained track, many rest spots, great views, Bird or nature lovers get in there
