9k trek to worlds end was pretty easy going. It is well worth the walk as the view from both 'little' worlds end and 'big' worlds end were amazing. The route wasn't too busy and we spent a lot of time walking on our own, which was nice and peaceful. Thought the ticket prices were a bit steep by sri... More

Nice trek in order to get to the end of the world. The walk takes around 3 hours... 9 Km in total... it is an easy trek with great views. Once you arrive end of the world is a great experience. Ticket is a bit pricey specially on Sri Lankan standards...

This walk to world's end was by far my favourite. It's a very easy flat walk that made me feel like I was in Jurassic Park. The walk is so well maintained which is to be expected due to the high entrance fees (two of us forked out about $45 entry). The hardest thing we found was working out how... More

We visited here on a dull day and arrived just before 11:00. The walk is quite long and can be moderately strenuous in place so you do need to have a reasonable amount of mobility. Whilst we saw people walking in flip-flops (thongs for our Aussie friends) I'd recommend at least sensible walking footwear. For a considerable part of the... More

We started the walk early in the morning, around 6.30 am. It was very successful since we were able to see the World's end very clearly. we took 3 hours to finish the walk. The mountains range including Pidurutalagala, the highest mountain in Sri Lanka and also the River which is connecting Horton Plains and Udawalawe could be seen very... More

I visited last year with my family. We went from nuwara eliya and the road was horrible. Due to a accident in Horton plains road we was on the road about 3hrs and since the road is very narrow we were not allowed to return. Finally, we reached Horton plains about 2pm and started to hike. The direction for the... More

We visited Horton Plains expecting a good walk to Worlds End and back, and a walk we got. More of a Trek really. The walk took a good 3.5 hours and we are both fit and healthy individuals. The route is very rocky, walking down little rivers, steep faces, large steep steps etc. We would not recommend this walk to... More

A nice, easy walk breathing excellent fresh air is what you get when you do a hike on Horton Plains. Leave early morning, and do not go on public holidays as chatting people might disturb your enjoyment of a quiet walk. I was highly disappointed by the lack of wild and bird life, in my garden in Colombo I see... More

Well indicated hiking tracks across an incredible countryside (much like Scotland) with a plethora of wildlife. Well worth the walk to reach waterfall and the "End of the World".

Really, I was very disappointed. Nothing there is truly special as advertised. There are more to see on Sri Lanka than this park. It could be a very nice walking, very beautiful view, but no more than many other places around the world. If you will go to Sri Lanka and have time, go there, if else you could easily... More
