You MUST visit the museum!!! It is WONDERFUL and the people who greet and then show you around are locals who are passionate about this wonderful identity in our area.
It holds such a lot of history and is so well set out.
Make sure you put this on your itinerary!
It is sooooo well worth the visit!!!

visited on an open day when all the voulounteers were dressed in traditional clothes and demonstrated the various equipment. They were just marvellous. I had a lovely day and it appeared that all other visitors had likewise. It is a credit to the people who put in so much effort to present it. Great for locals and visitors.

The fantastic volunteers and wonderful displays make this an amazing trip back in time!! I went as a helper with a school group and every child was enthralled!!

If you are interested in local history, it is a great place to go but not much there for just the casual visitor. In my opinion, they should also have a pensioner admission.

For a small price to enter, it is a well set out museum compared to others I have seen. A great variety of things to look at.
