The boardwalk is well made, the views are great, but if a bike rider, rings their bell let them go. You need to pay them respect, don't ignore them. Liked the dance class on the boardwalk, the hang gliders, the jetties into the bay are a must, but mind the sand, there may be discarded glass or syringes about.

We walked it first thing in the morning, then went to the street market, then Ackland St. Just after dark the penguins come in to their nests. We also saw Apodaca of dolphins and other critters. Take a good torch. You really need to be in a group late at night in this area, especially in the warmer months.
