Scarborough is located on the hill top with a great view over the valley. You sit down at tables to taste their wonderful wines, and have your own personal guide through the range. Their wonderful Yellow Label Chardonnay is arguable Hunter valley's finest Chardy, but dont miss the Pinot Noir Blend and the Shiraz. The reds are not usually found... More

Firstly I read the two most recent reviews and i honestly would advise not to pay any attention to them! We visit the Cellar door every time we are up as we are huge fans of the chardonnay and i have to say over the numerous times we have visited we have had excellent service and wonderful very knowledgeable staff.... On reputation, our group of 8 arrived to be sent to the back verandah on a 30+ degree day and our experience continued in a downward spiral from there. The young woman who attended us was disinterested - just going thought the motions. We were left for long periods of time and could see her chatting inside (the air conditioned... More

Thank you for bringing this experience to my attention, as you can see from previous reviews your experience was not of the norm. We do have a policy of groups of 8 or more... More

Our party of 8 arrived today anticipating a wonderful experience based on previous reviews, however ours was vastly different. Upon arrival, we were taken to a tasting area in +30 degree heat outside (despite numerous tables being available inside in the air conditioning??) Staff were very disinterested to the point of rudeness - we really enjoyed some of the wines... More

Thank you for your recent feedback after your trip here to Scarborough Wine Co. Naturally I am very disapppointed to hear that you did not enjoy your tasting experience. We do have a policy for groups of 8 or more to have a stand up tasting outside regardless of whether we are full inside or not :with our limited tasting... More

This was our first time to Hunter Valley and we decided to go on our own, rather than on a tour. Thanks to the TripAdvisor reviews, Scarborough was one of the wine cellars we stopped at. It was by far the best one. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated at our own table. I enjoyed that we could... More

Years ago, when I visited this winery, Ian Scarborough made only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and then only if the grapes were good enough. On my most recent visit, I found that the range of wines produced has widened considerably. Their quality and the professionalism of the wine tastings remains the same. I loved the wines (and bought a few)... More

Scarborough is a must stop destination in the Hunter Valley. The wines are consistently good and staff and service are the best in the Hunter. A very personal approach to wine tasting. Loved that we could take our young family and they were looked after aswell and made to feel very welcome. A must stop destination for your trip to... More

What a beautiful location. This has to be one of the best tasting experiences in the Hunter. The professionalism of the staff should be noted and the presentation of the tasting glasses. We always make a trip to Scarborough Wine as the wines are great, the view fantastic and the staff helpful.

Scarborough Winery has fantastic views across The Hunter, but it is the wine tasting experience that really stands out. The wines are tasted seated at a table and accompanied with small bites of complimentary cheese and biscuits. Using a fresh glass for each wine, your guide takes you through a range of white, red and dessert wines. Each wine is... More
