Hello Trip Advisor,
I spent a lot of time writing a review on the Real Journeys overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound.
However I now find it was a complete waste of my time because I did not verify it was my review in time. I was away and not able to check online! I am really annoyed, in fact I'm...

There were 2 main options open to us in May for overnight cruises- Real Journeys (large ship 60-70 people) or Fiordland Expeditions (14 people). We chose the smaller one, and we had only 4 people on our cruise. Not a luxury trip- older boat, simple but comfortable rooms (only one or two of the rooms have ensuites), but such a...

Each section had spectacular highlights. The...

While in new zealand we decided to go to milford sound and doubtful sound because we heard doubtful sound was 10 times better then milford. It costs quite a bit more then milford sound and takes half a day to get there. Although it's cool seeing the electrical power station on the way it's not really worth the extra money...

I highly recommend this tour. The scenery is just breathtaking and well worth every dollar. Definitely a must do when you're in the area.

Do this small, personal overnight trip instead of the big, impersonal boat run by another company.
The four of us traveling together were the only ones on the boat as the other group canceled. The boat is small and older but who cares!
We were served amazing chowder when we arrived and were never hungry the entire trip. The first...
