Steph, our tour guide, turned up promptly at our hotel and introduced us to the other guests on the tour. Great bunch of people, some very delicious wineries visited and a great afternoon out! Well recommended.

As tourists in our own country we spent an enjoyable afternoon with Steph as our guide, her knowledge of the wineries we visited and history of the area relating to grape growing meant we learnt learnt some new things about New Zealand. The stops for photos were much appreciated as the views in the Gorge were stunning.

I had a great time on my tour with Penny as our guide. She was very knowledgeable about the region's history and the wines we tasted. Since moving to the Southern Hemisphere I had been having a difficult time finding wines I enjoyed, but at least now I know what to look for in the stores!

We are not very knowledgable about wine and found that this tour taught us a lot on the different types and tastes. Our tour guide, Dave, was awesome! He really made it enjoyable and had great knowledge of wines and the area. The lunch that was included was delicious. The amount of time was perfect and was a great way... More

We had a fabulous afternoon, and Keren was a terrific guide. It was interesting to hear about the history of the region and the difficulties that wine makers face at this latitude. Lunch was a fabulous antipasto style platter at Carrick winery. The small groups make this a very personal tour. Can't recommend highly enough.

We had a fabulous afternoon visiting 4 vineyards in the Queenstown area. 2 of my favourites were Carrick and Peregrine so I was thrilled that these were on the list to visit during our trip. Our guide imparted lots of local knowledge about the district as well as knowing her wines. Small group so made it very personal. Would thoroughly... More

The half day boutique tour visits four wineries, with a lovely platter for lunch at one. Great commentary by Penny the driver, and a friendly reception at each of the wineries from their staff. Some great Pinots - Blanc, Gris and noir.

I went out on the boutique wine tour on the 18th of Feb just on my own, joining another 6 people. Steph, the guide for the day, was very friendly and has a great knowledge of the local wines and surrounding areas. We visited 4 wineries in total, Peregrine, Carrick, Aurum and Mt Rosa with a lovely platter lunch at... More

We did the half day boutique wine tour. This included a tour of four Central Otago wineries as well as a delicious platter for lunch. Our guide, Phillip, was knowledgable of the area and the wines. We had an excellent all-day wine tour with Penny of Appellation Central Wine Tours during our stay in Queenstown. The tour took us to the prime pinot noir region of Central Otago. Penny provided a good commentary about the history of the region as well as information about the wines. Because our visit was on New Year’s Eve, the wineries... More
