My friend and I visited Blenheim on a 5 day trip to the South Island. Having done the trip before my friend had highly recommended Wine Tours By Bike, so I was looking forward to the experience already held in high regard. A friendly genuine and fantastically run business, Wine Tours By Bike collected us in their mini van from... More

My boyfriend and I visited Blenheim purely to do a wine tour. We love NZ Sav from the Marlborough region! Hiring bikes was the perfect way to visit the wineries because you could taste all of the wine that you wanted, then cycle back to the lodge and Nigel drives you back to your hotel. Nigel was very informative indeed,... More

When we first looked at going to Blenheim, I ummed and ahhed over whether to book a wine tour or not (as we were travelling on a budget). In the end I decided to splash out and book the full day wine tour by bike as an early birthday present for my husband. It was a good decision! We had... More

We had a fabulous Sunday afternoon wine tour. The scenery was spectacular and the wine great of course. We managed all 4 wineries including lunch but it was a rush so I would recommend a full day if you can do it. But then again, my husband and I both felt pretty squiffy anyway and I wouldn't want to ride... More

I booked a full-day excursion for myself, my husband and his parents via their website a few weeks prior to our arrival in Blenheim in April 2012. The day before our reservation was very wet but a quick phone call to Nigel put our minds at ease as he said we could confirm our booking the next morning depending on... More

No better way to visit 3 or 4 wineries on a lovely sunny day. The terrain is very flat and not much traffic. Our host gave us a map, explained who was open and who was closed, recommended a tour of 4 and the order to do them. This knowledge was invaluable and we followed to the letter and had... More

Having done a bike tour of the wineries in Hunter Valley we were keen to book up something similar. However this was much better. We were picked up on time and given a choice of bikes. Then after a few questions on what we were looking for were given a tour tailored to our needs. The map provided annotated by... More

Great bikes with holders on the back to hold 4 bottles of wine. Owner provides a great map with suggestions of which winerys to visit. The ride is fully supported, if there is any type of mechanical issue with the bike the owner will drive you out a replacement. We left about 10:30 am visited 7 winerys, had a nice... More

No hurry, no worries, just a few hours to visit a couple of wineries and a brewery and try a few of their delights. It's flat and the places are just a nice distance apart - gives you time to work up your anticipation. We did about 15km and could have done plenty more in our 4 hours if we... More

You're pretty much paying about $50 NZ for a bottle of water and renting a bike for a couple hours. We were running a bit late (arrived in Marlborough around 2pm instead of the planned 1pm due to road detours) and had many wineries we wanted to visit that day. After our experience touring some vineyards in the north island... More

Our aim is to provide a cost effective fun tour of the wineries on a bike. We provide tours of up to 4 hours at a rate of $42 especially for visitors who do not have enough time to complete a full day’s tour.
