A nice hideaway part of Wellington... the natural setting surrounding the beach, the smell of the ocean and isolation from the big city - just around the cove make this place a gem.

With a yellow sand beach, sheltered swimming spot (with summer weekend lifeguards), cafe, public showers and loos, children's playground and a play/picnic area... This could be Wellington's best family beach. Note that it is somewhat exposed to Southerlies, and the Eastern location means it loses sun early in the evening.

Having run out of things to do did the drive around the coast and stopped here for an ice cream. A very nice quiet spot, café looked busy there as well.
