We went here on a rainy Friday and it was brilliant. Clean, quiet, well maintained. A hidden gem. We're going back to camp with the kids soon. Only downside, showers after a spa use the same water and are very insipid. Can't really see the point of using the same kind of water to rinse off.

We stayed two nights in their little camp ground, even when it rained, the pools were warm and relaxing, the staff were all lovely and happy to help. Very cheap place to stay- only $22 per person including unlimited entry to the pools! The food was a wee bit pricey, but good large sized portions and tasty too! Well worth... More

Never new this place existed until a friend told me about it. Visited on a recent trip to Taupo and so pleased we took the time to do so. 40 minute drive from Taupo and everyone should make the effort. Excellent pools, very clean, not crowded and very relaxing. The nature walk is a must do as well. Clean changing... More

The briggs family along with the Stoddart family went to visit the pools this was not expensive it was $14 each and we went to the adult pools not the family pools. This was relaxing and enjoyed trying the different temperatures of the pools. THere was clean shower facilities and they have a little shop there with lots of nice... More

Lovely little spot. Lots of variety in the temperature of the pools. A big main pool for the kids and smaller relaxing pools for people wanting a little quite time. 15$ entry fee was a little pricy, but not too bad. Big picnic tables for you to have lunch at and a camp ground right there if you want to... More

Our hotelier recommended Waikite as somewhere to relax and enjoy the hot pools and the farmland scenery without too many tourists around. When we turned up we realised this is obviously where the locals go. We booked a private pool and had a relaxing 40 minutes soaking up the thermal waters, tranquil views and sunshine. A great experience.

An amazing experience with all of the pools and spas being over 37°C. We spent several hours at the centre trying a number of the spas and pools. Sitting, talking and taking in the views over the valley made the time go quickly.

My husband and i travelled a fair way out of Rotarua in the rain to visit this hot spring. We were able to hire a private spa which was fantastic. Had a great soak for 40 minutes part surrounded by ferns whilst adjusting the hot spring water to suit our comfort levels. After our spa we did the Eco walk... More

we didn't get to spend time in the manmade pools (wish we had), but we did walk (5 min or so) to a natural thermal pool on site (i'm assuming this pool feeds the manmade pools). it was really neat to see it and all of its "vapor". :)

This was a thouroughly enjoyable stop and well worth the drive south from Rotorua or north from Taupo. For a modest fee, you get a set of six tranquil pools fed from a natural hot spring (and no sulfur smell). There is also a lovely short walk to the spring that feeds the pools (definitely recommended). There are three beautifully... More
