Found the tour very interesting, enjoyed the gold pouring. Well worth the visit. We have been told the mint is about to undergo renovations so it maybe a good idea to check with the Mint before going to confirm it will be open.

Enjoyed the gold pour and tour and exhibition been twice original old mint from the gold rush with shop jewellery and gold buying building from turn of the century built from rottnest stone

The $10 tour is well worth it, the guide is very knowledgable, the gold pouring is fantastic to watch and the show room (with olympic medals and a gold bar to pick up) is very interesting. It was the perfect mix of information, visual aids and timing.

A really fun location with the right mix of history, practical demonstration of gold pouring and real bits of gold, some of them enourmous like the 1 tonne gold coin.

Extremely interesting, we thorougly enjoyed it. You do need to pay for the tour to get the best from it though as you are very limited in what you see otherwise.
