Asking various Perth people where the art gallery was tended to get us a range of vague responses generally along the lines of 'it's not in the city', it's out north somewhere. Actually, its in Northbridge, which is right across a pedestrian bridge from the main city centre station, a short easy walk from there or the CBD. It's worth... More

Having a guide to chat to us about the paintings enhanced the visit enormously. I loved looking at the wide variety of styles.

Easy to park and very close to the railway station. We just wanted to see all the Australian paintings and there were plenty of them.

Went to see the exhibition of New York photos and enjoyed it very much. The building itself is worth seeing and has a lovely relaxed ambience inside. We enjoyed viewing the other art displayed too.

A pleasant surprise. The staff were well informed, polite and very welcoming. We were there over Easter so it was very busy but the atmosphere was calm and the experience positive. The quality of the food in the restaurant was outstanding especailly given the pressure of numbers on the day, Well worth the price.

Based near the central railway Station in Perth, the Art Gallery is a revelation. A modern building, with disabled access and toilets, with most helpful staff on the enquiry desk at the entrance. The Gallery can be divided into three. Firstly, there is a fascinating section on Aboriginal art and artifacts. Aboriginal art has changed little over time, so some... More

The Gallery was showing an exhibition of Modern Masters from MOMA in New York. Fabulous theme, exceptional works and very useful commentary by the curator - it's worth attaching to his 'tours'. More NY MOMA loans to follow! Very welcoming, family friendly, the gallery joins other places in the cultural centre in addressing families and encouraging education for all ages.... More

It is really quite a peaceful place. You leave your bag at the door(secure locker) and free your mind for a few hours. Go and see the "droving into the light" painting. You will swear that you are looking at a highdef tv. There are so many other beautiful and strange pieces of art. It gets the left side of... More
