Brilliant, just sightseeing & checking out the local & suburban sights & tourist attractions, when I have a spare day free.

This is so close to Melbourne, a tram ride away. And in the park a tram to eat in, play in, concerts are held on a regular basis with the Tramways Band and it just has a really good feel to it. Pack a picnic, cook a bbq or just go and walk and let the kids play.

It is just a tram ride from Melbourne central. Have had good experiences watching the children play in the old tram. I live 200kms from the CBD and this is a good place to take a break and sandwich

My grandmother's memorial service in the chapel here was stunning, even in June. The sun shone in through the windows and the room was so well decorated.

This park has been a local park for many years. It is a beautiful area for walks and picnics. It's natural bush type setting gives it a wonderful feeling and it's old buildings and pavilions complement the park.

For meeting relatives and friends of the deceased in a pleasant surrounding the chalet was ideal. The building has the characteristics of an English Manor.

Beautiful place for a wedding I was a bridesmaid for. It is well located and just a pretty park to visit. Very green and lush with walking paths.

Wattle park is large and has great children's playgrounds and old trams. It is mainly bush and native gum trees. It's main drawback is that it tends to be very dusty where the barbeques are and not many seats. Nevertheless, it is very popular for picnics. Free entry

Name a Melburnian who has not hired a boat at this place. A group of us took some Russian visitors there in the late 90's. They loved it and took photo after photo.
