The best part of this 18 kilometre rail trail is in the 'Shenley' area of inner eastern Melbourne, which is an old station name from the days of the now largely closed Outer Circle Railway.
For much of this trail you will believe that you are a million miles away from any freeways, such is the solitude you can enjoy....
