We had a great time at Trowunna Wildlife Park. It's nothing fancy, but they do such an important job caring for injured/orphaned wildlife, and building up a healthy population of Tasmanian Devils. We really enjoyed the tour, especially the up-close encounter with young Devils. It was also fun to browse around on our own before the tour began. It was... More

The staff there gave us very detailed history/ background information on the animals such as wombat and tas devil. We also were given chance to cuddle wombat. It is so cute! More

Do not expect to find in Trowunna the new remake of a Tassie Jurrasic park. No Trowunna is a sanctuary where not the customer but the animal is king. The park has not the commercial touch of certain zoo's but nevertheless you will get the professional advices and information's from devoted animal keepers. 2 options: you stay on the path... More

There are a number of wildlife preserves and animal parks in Tasmania where a visitor can see Tasmanian devils and other native animals. Trowunna Wildlife Park, a sanctuary is located near Mole Creek, west of Deloraine in Northern Tasmania and is worth a stop if you are in the area and is an easy stop between Devonport and Launceston, two... Great place to stop in en route between cradle mountain and the east/north coast. Great to see so many Tasmanian devils and quolls up close, awesome birds too. There are 3 interactive tours per day, we arrived too late for these but the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great up close experience. Places like... More

I went with my family (all adults) and we had a fantastic time! All the animals looked happy and well-kept and it was a large area with plenty of space for them to roam. Definitely recommended! More

This is not a zoo so please don't go here if that is what you're after. This is a fantastic place to take a tour with a knowledgeable guide to learn about wombats, wallabies and Tassie devils. It is fabulous and worth your support! More

A typical wildlife park that appears to be family owned and run, Trowunna is quite run down. Signage on cages are almost nonexistent, and there was an overgrown, dilapidated feel to the entire park. There are kangaroos and wallabies free-ranging, and they are friendly enough to hand-feed. There are also a few birds of prey and a few parrots, as... More

The park is looking a little worn, I guess funding is an issue. The staff are great and very interesting to talk to about the animals. The kangaroos are very friendly and love to be fed and patted which was a real highlight to the kids. More
