We were after directions to the wildlife park and were told that it had closed down just recently without any notification to any of the surrounding town folk. The town folk that we talked to were a little peed off to say the least. We were also upset as we were trying to show our English friends some platipus.

it is a shame upon the state government, that the power of the almighty dollar has seen the loss of a sanctuary like this, and a debacle of an oval pushed in the name of progress

Visited here for the first time on a very wet winters day with overseas visitors and we still enjoyed ourselves. Fed the roos, spotted lots of koalas huddled in the tree and enjoyed the walk around the hills bush setting. Best of alll its free! Sorry to hear it may be closing.

As of the end of February 2013 - this location is closed. The animals are to be transferred to Adelaide Zoo and/or Monarto Zoo. Staff have either been re-located or offered redundancies.

This is a great park and I was very glad for the experience. The car trip was long and windy so some of us got car sick unfortunately. Once there we saw some native birds straight away followed by a buck kangaroo. The animals seem rather unafraid of humans and the kangaroos didn't bat an eyelid when they were about... More

The kids and I have been several times and each time we've seen kangaroos, possums, lots of birds.. Its a wonderful day out! Loved the fact its so naturally set out and not ugly cement caged boxes for the animals to live in like Adelaide zoo.

We visited Warrawong Sanctuary during January 2013 only to be very disappointed. With us we had 4 adults and five children ages 10 days to 14 years old. Prior to our visit we packed a picnic lunch. When we first arrived we only just managed to get parks for our two vehicles. The parking arrangement was quite poor with no... More

The night walk amongst the Warrawong wildlife is abgreatvexperience for the visitor to Adelaide. Dinner before the visit makes for an enjoyable and unusual evening. Run by the Adelaide Zoo group this important conservation and wildlife education project deserves support. Great to meet a lively Platipus!
