It is very difficult to choose my favorite outing after my trip to Australia, but Flames of the Forest was a great experience. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and friendly, great wine, and transportation from Cairns was flawless!!!! It was a magical setting in the beautiful rainforest.... More

A unique experience in the rain forest. When you first arrive you notice the candles in the trees and shortly after are received with glasses of champagne and hor devours and given a short period of time to meet the other diners. Then you are taken on a short walk to the dining area and from there you are served... More

Food quality for price is the major factor in suggesting future dinners choose elsewhere,a very sub standard meal. Setting was nice but not spectacular and only 2 waitress to serve dinner and drinks to 30+ guests. I think it says something that flames of the forest hire someone to respond to negative feedback to salvage their reputation rather than refunding... More

My partner and myself dined here for the saturday night dinner.... The night started off by us nearly getting left behind at the hotel as the bus was poorly marked and the driver never got out of the vehicle, he closed the door and was about to take off, if it wasn't for me having a closer inspection and knocking... Dear adamc800, Oh dear! We are terribly embarrassed by the behaviour of the bus company and have taken up your comments with them this morning. Our reservations staff member remembers taking your call regarding the lost pouch and followed up immediately with them so is consequently very annoyed at what you had to go through to retrieve it. We agree... More

I booked this trip thinking that it would a great way to spoil us whilst in PD. We went on the Saturday night dinner -Transport was fine and the setting was romantic and nice- Greeted with champagne and some nice waitresses. Tables are not outside as such, they are under a canopy! I thought for the price they would have... More

Dear lovingtravelalways, Flames of the Forest is certainly the highlight of many of our guests' trips and we are saddened it was not yours too! Being in the tropics the weather can be a little unpredictable, hence the beautiful black silk canopy with crystal chandeliers. We do find many of our guests venture out from under this romantic space to... More
