The lunch buffet was pretty good. Most of the animals are native to Northern Queensland. I ended up following the zoo keeper around for almost 3 hours because he gave such an educational talks about the animals in the Habitat.

Worth a visit if you are facde with a rainy morning or afternoon. The whole place looks a little unloved and run down (in my opinion) Worth buying a bag of kangaroo food though as they do eat out of your hand and are very gentle! We fed one with a baby in its pouch which made my day! The...

There were birds brought around to sit on your arm and pet. The handlers were very informative and seemed to really care about each animal they worked with.
We went through...

The Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas is located right at the intersection of the main highway and the road leading into Port Douglas so it is very accessible. This is a wonderful opportunity to see innumerable birds, wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, and snakes up close. It is not a zoo where the animals are caged and you look at them through bars....
