This trip with "Down Under Tours" was the highlight of our visit, We had a remarkable walk about with a fantastic local called Harry with ama zing facts and stories. This was followed by a beautiful lunch at the 7 star Silky Oak Lodge in Mossman followed by a crocodile spotting trip along the Daintree river. The service in between... More

This tour is well organized and our tour guide was excellent. The first stop after leaving Port Douglas is at the Mossman gorge -- this walk is very educational, led by a knowledgeable native guide. Wear good walking or hiking shoes, as the "path" is uneven, there are lots of rocks, stones, twigs and branches to navigate through and around.... More

Children enjoyed climbing on top of towering trees. They also had informative displays of local flora and fauna in the information centre. The drive itself was very enjoyable.

Most beautiful tropical rainforest around. Such a beautiful walk to take on a sunny day, the canopy keeps you nice and cool. Amazing wildlife at every turn not to mention the educational value. Definitely worth your time to stop and take a walk.

The Daintree Walkabout was some of the most beautiful rainforest I have ever seen. Very educational for our 9 yr old and great fun for all of us. Would do it again because you see something new every turn.

Beautiful walk surrounded by lots of greenery. The freshest air you can breathe! The walk is very easy and there are lots of spots to take beautiful photos. Mossman Gorge is absolutely breathtaking though on the day we went, the water was yellow due to the deluge the previous week. We would have stayed in the water longer but t... More

Try walking about in the Daintree at night. It will surprise you. We saw several species of insects, heard the flying bats, but did not see one though. Possums up the tree etc. What I love most of all is the fireflies. The forest light up like the Christmas lights. I admire the tourism gov of Queensland. They have provided... More
