This place first started in 1927 and has been going strong ever since. I first visited her when I was 7 years old. It is a great place, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the animals they work with. The grounds are lovely and the animals appear well cared for. There is plenty to see and do. The entrance... More

You can pay $70+ for Australia Zoo and drive an hour and a half from Brisbane, or you can pay $33 for adults (less for kids) and get a great experience for kids and adults alike only 20mins from Brisbane city. I hadn't visited Lone Pine since I was a kid but had heard it was still operating and was... More

Have been to so many zoos and wildlife parks in New Zealand and Australia and this has to be my favourite! Huge place and so much hands on! Get there early for the Lorakeet feeding... Amazing!

I really wanted to hug a koala and this is the place for it... You can also feed the kanagroos and stroke them, it's great. Lots of other animals too! Also in the cafe there are koalas all around sitting in trees and educational talks at set times. Fun for adults and children!!

Lone Pine was high on my list of places to visit while in Australia. I took the Miramar cruise to the sanctuary and it's a great way to see part of Brisbane, enjoy the river scenery and relax. There are several steps you have to climb from the river to the sanctuary so be warned. Lone Pine is just lovely.... More

I took my parents to Lone Pine when they were visiting from interstate. We had a really lovely day, not only did we have a great time with the koalas but we also enjoyed the birds of prey and other wildlife that was wandering around, such as dingoes and monitor lizards. It was a real treat for them and being... More

The lone pine koala sanctuary is a great place, creating a safe environment for endangered creatures. Anyone who visits Brisbane should go and support this sanctuary. We watched the sheep dog show. Fed some of the animals and birds. We took lots of photos and bought a few souvenirs at the gift shop. there are a lot of active Koalas... More

We are expats from the US and have had several visitors from the US. I have taken all of our guest there for the true AussieAnimal experience. I love it because all the animals are native to Australia. It is clean, very well kept and a great price. I finally got me a season pass which has more than paid... More
