If you want to see all of Brisbane at once come to Mt Coot-tha. It is my favourite place to come to in Brisbane and I always make it my first stop. Easy to get to, spectacular views and a nice calming place to relax. More

Beautiful gardens, well laid out and the Brisbane specific area showing what can grow and more importantly what it will look like as it grows is hugely helpful. Not a lot of color about in the autumn but you can spend hours wandering through these lvely gardens More

During the day only though - even during the day it can get a bit dark and scary. But if you're not alone, these are nice gardens to have a walk through. Have a picnic, play a game, take a stroll. This is right in the CBD. More

We visited Mount Coot-tha on the first afternoon n Brisbane. Great panoramic views of the city. Had lunch in the cafe - beware Australia is very expensive!! Well worth the time to visit. Loved it and you can see for miles. Botanic gardens are beautiful. It rained and rained but still worth a visit. I loved the area with the... More

We went to the Botanitcal Gardens with two young children (ages 2 & 4). The loved going through the different environments (fern house, bonsai garden, cactus, etc). They enjoyed rolling down the grass hill below the cafe and playing with all the other families there doing the same thing. Then we followed the children's trail looking for the crocodile in... More

Due to host overseas visitors soon after our visit to the Gardens, we decided this would not be suitable. We couldnt believe that after all the rain we had experienced during the year, that the Gardens could be in such a state of disrepair. Weeding was very much overdue, old branches and dead leaves were too much in abundance, so... More

The gardens were a nice relaxing place to walk for a break from the city. The native plants and trees were interesting to see, and the water dragons running around. More
