If you want to see all of Brisbane at once come to Mt Coot-tha. It is my favourite place to come to in Brisbane and I always make it my first stop. Easy to get to, spectacular views and a nice calming place to relax.

nice enough..thought i was ticking the review button for to the city gardens which are lovely for a picnic. ANy Mt Cootha has an interesting planetarium and saw a massive python in the fernery..ooh

Beautiful gardens, well laid out and the Brisbane specific area showing what can grow and more importantly what it will look like as it grows is hugely helpful. Not a lot of color about in the autumn but you can spend hours wandering through these lvely gardens

During the day only though - even during the day it can get a bit dark and scary. But if you're not alone, these are nice gardens to have a walk through. Have a picnic, play a game, take a stroll. This is right in the CBD.

We visited Mount Coot-tha on the first afternoon n Brisbane. Great panoramic views of the city. Had lunch in the cafe - beware Australia is very expensive!! Well worth the time to visit. Loved it and you can see for miles.

We went to the Botanitcal Gardens with two young children (ages 2 & 4). The loved going through the different environments (fern house, bonsai garden, cactus, etc). What a suprise! We loved our walk in the park - fed the ducks and gazed at the beauiful Japanese Garden - The cafe was a welcome sight - lovely to see families enjoying th sunshine after weeks of rain

The gardens were a nice relaxing place to walk for a break from the city. The native plants and trees were interesting to see, and the water dragons running around.
