This gem was right behind our hotel. Available to view via tour, each house is set up reflecting different eras. Interesting hearing stories of The Rocks area of those who once resided in these houses. Definitely worth a look.

This little museum is a hidden gem in the rocks. Go when you can take one of the guides tours, you will get much more out of it. The tour starts with a short video then you walk through the homes and hear about the history.

The houses are interesting and well preserved but what makes them really come alive are the stories by the guide. They have lovingly restored the look of many of the rooms. due to the size of the buildings you can only visit with a guide, the guide takes you through the history of the houses with some great tales of the area, from which you get a good understanding of the Rocks

These houses are well preserved, but there is really not too much to see. The most fascinating part of our tour was learning about the museum itself and how they go about collecting information to create the stories behind the apartments. Tour guide is clearly very passionate and informed, and did a great job.
