Covered this section on our recent walk from Palm Beach to Coogee. Highly recommend the walk great way to experience sydney and made me appreciate better the city I have lived in all my life. Fantastic coastal scenery and makes you realise how lucky we are. The Women On Top website has a great map of the overall walk. More

This bridge has not architectural merit. At several times during the day, traffic on this busy road (one of the few to service the northern beaches) is stopped to allow boats through. This bridge should be replaced with a higher bridge that allows boats through to the natural marinas beyond and keep traffic flowing. This new bridge would also need... More

Walked from Manly ferry terminal west along the coastal path bound for "The Spit" bridge. I knew Sydney was a picturesque place but was amazed at the beauty nonetheless. A longer walk than I expected taking about 3.5 hours but worth it. If you find it too long just turn around. Plenty of beaches along the way for a swim... More

The Spit Bridge is an important link from Manly and the Northern Beaches by raod into the Sydney Central business district. This bridge opens several times each day to allow boating craft with tall sails to pass through. The scenery around the Spit is winderful and many boats and yachts are moored there. There are several restaurants there. More

The view, the multi million dollar boats, yachts and houses. Just don't get caught if your driving at bridge opening times. Advertised on RTA website. Traffic around this area is atrocious in peak hours and weekends. More

Great place for a meal and a look at the affluent marine craft of the area. More

The Spit Bridge to Manly coastal walk has to be one of the best walks in Sydney, taking in bush, beaches, bays and the most stunning views of the heads of the harbour. A 7km walk one way, and quite steep in places but well worth it. Park at Spit Bridge and taken the bus back from Manly and don't... More

Such an incredible walk. So beautiful. Easy trek, and end with a beer at the harbour before a ferry back to Circular Quay. More

A unique bridge and great to see when it goes up ..... unless you are one of the cars who was too late to get past before it goes up. Some good sailing or boating around here and some great places to walk or play by the sandy beaches More

The best walk in Sydney which takes approx. 2.5 hours if you don't stop for a swim at one of the numerous beaches along the way. At the end you can enjoy a great meal at Manly to reward youself. More
