The Sydney Opera House is quite an attraction up close, with wonderful and vast tiling over the roof and the overall structure resembling that of the sails on ships and boats. The Opera House lower walk-way is wonderfully patterned with a mirage of captured photo images of (people around the world) with smiling faces. The Botanic Gardens is such a... More

It's pleasant to take the footpath in the park from the Gardens to the Opera House, admiring the city skyline view on one side, as well as having the sense that you are truly enveloped in the local city life, along with the dog walkers, rollerbladers and picnic-makers.

Walking outside the Opera House and looking to the photgraphs was nice and I spend all day walking inmthe Botanic Gardens and looking at the flowers, trees, butterflies, etc. It is a beautiful place in a great location. The shop is really well stocked and offers a variety of nice products as well as high quality souvenirs.

Great when the sun is shining, and some amazing trees en route, which must be several hundred years old. Worth a stroll.

How can this not be one of the nicest things to do in Sydney. I grew up in Sydney and regularly make this journey and am never disappointed. Stop for a drink, and watch the world and lovely harbour float on by. Make you take a camera!

Lovely park area with parakeets and cockatoos, gorgeous views over the harbour and a pleasant way to walk back to the city or your hotel from the harbour. Safe and full of interesting plants and flowering trees etc.

If you are in Sydney and do not do this you are crazy. Walk around the front far enough and you get to the Woolloomooloo Wharf area with restaurants and bars. Plan the walk and then some down time for a brilliant Sydney day

Stunning views, and great walks around the harbour with plenty of cafes and restraunts . The rocks and circular key are close by.
