Like the QVB, we probably do not give Central Station is due. A place where lives began with arrivals in new cities and where new adventures begin. A stunning old building that we also take for granted..
Now if only we had "fast trains" going to somewhere we would not have the battle to and from airports ... Central Station...

This is not a bad station if you need to use it catch a train or make a connection. There are a few amenities where you can grab a bite or something to drink. The signage is clear and the facilities are in decent shape.
Used to be so good - in DESPERATE need of a clean - something Sydney does not do very well... that awful blackened archway you walk through - that's meant to be a gleaming bright yellow from the sandstone...
sort of located near nowhere. not special in anyway, got off here by mistake. shouldve alighted at Circular quay.
Central seems to be in a permanent state of upgrading - not helpful if you're aiming for an imminent train. And watch out in the lonely windswept canyons at night when few people seem to be taking the same construction-vboarded tunnel as you.
Well, the only reason to go there is to catch a train. It's big and busy. What more can one say? It's a railway station.
We stayed near station and went to buy food in where the old hotel used to be 3 food outlets in there which seemed clean but the surroundings,floors,walls,tables and chairs were disgusting,it was like a 3rd world country,the outside of the station was full of rubbish and bins were hard to find plus the smell was like a urinal

Good location to jump about town with frequent bus connections. If you are visiting Sydney, I suggest you speak to one of the attendants at the ticket window before buying anything.
