Almost a secret known only to locals, it has kept its local and harbour feel. It cannot be compared to the bustling beaches of Bondi, Coogee or Manly and doesnt have the surf and waves of those beaches - probably very suited to a family outing although parking can be a problem.

This beach has limited parking so never gets to crowded. Popular with families with small children on weekends and scuba diving groups during the week. Only 10 minutes walk North from the ferry wharf. Has toilets and an outdoor shower at the North end. There is also a nice walk from there along to South Head and the Hornsby Lighthouse,... More

I love this little beach. It is one of the few harbour beaches that still feels local. It is a bit of a walk from Watsons Bay but I highly recommend it.

In the early days of Sydney was simply a fishing village and somehow has retained that small, intimate quality. It is a little harbour beach that is close to The Heads.

Best visited during the week as it gets quite busy on the weekend. Very little swell and not too deep in parts, so good for parents with kids, but does get very crowded in summer. Working in the area I pop down for a few laps after work and as you are a bit further out there isnt really much... More

it is small and friendly. it is very expensive real estate there and it's fun to look at the houses right near the beach. it isn't a surf beach and i like the gentle waves. there is a shark net

Gets busy, so you need to get there early enough to get parking and a good spot - but all in all a great place to enjoy some sun.

A very beautiful part of Sydney, golden sands, take the bus to Watson's Bay, grab some fish and chips at the wharf and short walk along the beach to Camp Cove. You could also take in "The Gap" all located on the South Head of beautiful Sydney.

Good swimming, usually very quiet but can get busy in summer. Nice to settle down there and while away a few hours, get a snack and take a walk to the south head lighthouse

Best visited during the week if you can and at sunset or after to see the lights of the Harbour. (Can't see the Opera House but can see the top of the Harbour Bridge)
