The new additions with the large mutimedia dsiplays are incredible. In my view this truly is the best attraction in the city and a must see. I have been in there many times over my life since I was in school.

Amazing place, a tribute to the Anzac spirit,,,,,,give yourself plenty of time to walk around and see everything.
The War Memorial was established after WW1 to enable Australians to gain some knowledge of what our men and women went through during the conflict. The charter of the memorial was expanded to include all subsequent conflicts. As a museum it is excellent so allow a full day in the galleries. The closing ceremony is a moving event and takes...

The War Memorial isn't just a memorial, it's also a massive, interesting museum compete with sound and light shows and well worth dedicating some time towards. It's also not just a place for adults, there's a kids area which is superb and is hands on for the kids. The kiddies can 'fly' a helicopter, steer a submarine, and crawl through...

From all war memorials I've visited, and I 've seen some, this one absolutely is the most impressive. It commemorates every Australian in every war. It's hard to explain. Go and see it. Wow! Took our breath away!!! So well researched and the history is amazing!! The Hall of rememberance and the wall of poppies was just incredible! Our son just graduated from the Army so was so real to us.
An amazing place even on a cold day. Great views and photo opportunities and something for all interests from Australian military history to 1920s architecture.
The greatest and most emotional insight into past wars and dedication. Very informative and would visit again in a heartbeat. Much respect for all our troops and servicemen/women.
If you want a great experience go you won't regret it but you need 2 days to get it all in the aviation section is the best I've seen
