On a whim we visited the memorial to see if we could find out any information about our great grandfather and we were not disappointed. The volunteers were very friendly and a font of knowledge. We found out some very useful information and have the tools to investigate further!

Pity we con't have a memorial to Australia's convicts. The AWM is a symptom of Australia's denial of its past. Disturbing.

Had not been year since my school days. And although some things had not changed some much more had.
Its a very interesting and at times moving location and makes you think. All the exhibts are good and very informative.
Spent over 3.5 hours here and had to give up as we had had enough in one day.

I have never such helpful staff in any place ever!!! I took me elderly mother (85) there and they could not have done more to accomodate her and assist us. Anyone who has an interest in Warfare would be amazed at this Museum, entry is free although they do ask for a donation, one can spend hours here, most moving.

I visited the memorial in April 2012 and was very, very impressed. The building itself is beautiful and the location on a small incline with a view of Parliament is stunning. Did the tour with friends in the afternoon which took about an hour. The guide was great and brought the visit to life with little anecdotes and stories, and sought to peronalise these according to where the tour party had travelled from.
